FRESNO, Calif. - The #18 California State University San Bernardino men's soccer team stayed unbeaten with a 1-0 victory over Fresno Pacific University Wednesday evening in a non-conference contest at Ramirez Field.
With the win, the Coyotes improve to 2-0-1 overall on the season.
CSUSB held a considerable edge in the first half, but was unable to break the ice. The Yotes outshot the Sunbirds 9-2 in the opening stanza, but Fresno Pacific's goalkeeper was up to the task with four first half saves.

The Coyotes would continue to apply pressure throughout the second half, outshooting Fresno Pacific 12-5 in the second half to help secure the shutout victory.Â

Donovan Palomares was sharp for the Coyotes in the win, stopping all four shots he faced for his first clean sheet of the season. All four of his saves came after the halftime break.
Next up for the Coyotes, they will return home to take on Regis University on Sunday. Kick-off from Premier Field is scheduled for 11 a.m.
