SAN ANTONIO, Texas - #20 California State University San Bernardino men's golf made an early season statement on Tuesday morning, rallying from four shots down entering the final round to win the Dewsweeper Invitational by four shots at TPC San Antonio.

Four Coyotes were all at even par through 36 holes, with senior Kamron Hopson shooting a one-under 71 in the opening round, followed by a one-over 73 in round two. Freshman Brody Earnest, junior Cory Rose, and senior Marco Lin all shot opening round 73s, followed by a 71 in round two.

The Yotes combined for five birdies without a bogey in their first three holes of the final round to start on the comeback trail, before kicking it into another gear on the back nine. CSUSB was still two shots back with four holes to play, but Earnest made four birdies in his final five holes to help CSUSB overtake Arkansas Tech, and eventually win the tournament by three shots.

Earnest shot a three-under 69 in the final round to finish the tournament at -3, good for a tie for sixth overall. Lin finished just one shot behind Earnest with a two-under 70 on Tuesday to finish the tourney at -2.

Junior Tyler Price, who entered the day at four-over, also turned in a 70 on Tuesday to finish the tournament at +2. Hopson shot a final round 75, while Rose shot a final round of 77 to close out the Coyote scorers.

Next up, the Yotes will compete in the Otter Invitational hosted by Cal State Monterey Bay from October 11 through 13 at Bayonet Golf Course.
