Baseball Snags Four ABCA All-Region Nods

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Four members of the California State University San Bernardino baseball team earned All-West Region honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association on Wednesday morning.

Eddie Alfaro (Moreno Valley, Calif.), Garret Barto (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Dom Dominguez (Victorville, Calif.) were each named to the ABCA All-West Region First Team. All three also earned first team all-region honors from the NCBWA and D2CCA earlier this season. Additionally, Dominguez was named a Third Team All-American by the NCBWA.

Joining the trio of first team selections was senior Jeremy Giesegh (Upland, Calif.), who earned ABCA All-West Region Second Team honors. Giesegh finished the season batting .314 with 14 home runs, 54 RBIs and 11 stolen bases. He also received All-CCAA Second Team recognition.

The quartet helped lead CSUSB to its first CCAA Tournament Championship since 2002, and the team finished one win shy of an appearance in the NCAA Super Regional round.
