SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Three members of the California State University San Bernardino baseball team were named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II All-West Region First Team on Friday morning.
Eddie Alfaro (Moreno Valley, Calif.), Garret Barto (Pittsburgh, Pa.), and Dom Dominguez (Victorville, Calif.) earned the honors for the Coyotes.
Alfaro, a shortstop, is slashing .399/.498/.601 this season. He was also named a First Team All-CCAA selection and earned All-CCAA Tournament Team honors.
Barto is batting .414/.497/.809 with 18 home runs and 55 RBI. The first baseman was named a First Team All-CCAA selection.
Dominguez is slashing .359/.471/.674 with 17 home runs and 64 RBI. The catcher earned Second Team All-CCAA honors and was also named to last week's All-CCAA Tournament Team.
The trio helped the Coyotes lift the CCAA Tournament crown for the first time since 2002, and the team is now just two wins away from advancing to the West Super Regional.
