LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino baseball team took a pair from the Cal State Los Angeles Golden Eagles on Saturday evening at Reeder Field.
CSUSB won game one 15-5, before doubling up the Golden Eagles 6-3 in game two.
With the wins, the Coyotes improve to 26-19 and 18-17 in CCAA play.

Game 1 - CSUSB 15, Cal State LA 5
Cal State San Bernardino erupted for eight runs in the top of the second inning and never looked back. Junior Dom Dominguez (Victorville, Calif.) got the scoring started with a two-run homer to give the Coyotes a 2-0 lead. Graduate student Daryl Ruiz (Corona, Calif.) followed with an RBI single, and junior Jeremy Giesegh (Upland, Calif.) added a two-run single of his own to make it 5-0. The inning was capped off by a three-run blast from junior Tank Rodriguez (Fontana, Calif.), stretching the lead to 8-0.
CSUSB added another run in the third inning when Giesegh grounded into a fielder's choice, making it 9-0.
Cal State LA got on the board with single runs in the third and fourth innings to cut the deficit to 9-2.
The Coyotes reached double digits in the sixth as Rodriguez delivered an RBI double to push the score to 10-2. In the seventh, senior Jason Shedlock (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) doubled to extend the lead to 11-2.
Dominguez recorded his second multi-RBI at-bat of the game in the eighth, driving in two more runs to make it 13-4. After Cal State LA added a run in the bottom half of the inning, CSUSB responded with back-to-back home runs by Ruiz and Giesegh to close out the scoring at 15-5.

Game 2 - CSUSB 6, Cal State LA 3
CSUSB opened the scoring with two runs in the top of the second inning, taking a 2-0 lead. Rodriguez came home on an error, and junior Benji Solano (Chula Vista, Calif.) added an RBI single.
The Coyotes extended their lead in the third inning when senior Tyler Vanneste (Warman, Saskatchewan) launched a three-run home run, pushing the score to 5-0.
Cal State LA responded with two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth to narrow the gap to 5-3.
Ruiz gave CSUSB some breathing room with a solo home run in the seventh, making it 6-3. The Golden Eagles threatened late, bringing the game-tying run to the plate multiple times, but couldn't capitalize.
Sophomore Ivan Rodriguez (San Bernardino, Calif.) was stellar on the mound, throwing a 115-pitch complete game to earn the win.
The Coyotes wrap up their series against Cal State LA with a single game tomorrow. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
