SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino men's basketball team defeated the San Francisco State Gators 84-73 Saturday afternoon on Senior Day at Coussoulis Arena.
With the win, the Coyotes improved to 19-10 overall and 12-8 in CCAA play.
Before the game, nine Cal State San Bernardino seniors and graduate students were honored as they played in their final regular season home game at Coussoulis Arena.

Evan Oliver (San Bernardino, Calif.), and
Jordan Jones (Macon, Ga.) were joined on the court by their friends and family for the pregame ceremony.
The game started slowly, with the first two minutes going scoreless until San Francisco State made it 2-0. Andrew Henderson quickly answered for CSUSB, scoring on the next possession.
After some back-and-forth play, the Coyotes stretched their lead to 30-17. Jones contributed eight of his 12 points during this run, including a pair of three-pointers. The Gators responded with a 15-5 run to close the first half.
CSUSB regained momentum early in the second half. Oliver scored back-to-back layups, one off a steal. All three of his steals resulted in layups. He finished the game with a game-high 23 points, including several clutch jumpers.
San Francisco State kept the game close throughout the second half. Welp hit a couple of key shots to help maintain the Coyotes' lead.
CSUSB then went on a run similar to their earlier surge. Charlie Henderson knocked down three three-pointers as part of a 9-0 personal run, finishing 4-for-6 from beyond the arc.
The Coyotes stretched their lead to 76-57 at the 3:04 mark, their largest of the game. However, the Gators fought back, going on a 13-3 run to cut CSUSB's lead to 79-70. The Coyotes held on in the final minute to secure the 84-73 victory.
All five Coyote starters finished in double figures, led by Oliver with 23 points on 10-of-16 shooting.
Andrew Henderson notched 22 points, while Welp had a 10-point, 10-board double-double.
Up next, CSUSB travels north for their final week of play. They will face off against Cal State Monterey Bay on Thursday, with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
