TURLOCK, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino softball fell in a pair of contests Saturday in non-conference action at the Tournament of Champions, hosted by Stanislaus State at Pedretti Park.

Game 1 - Jessup 13, Cal State San Bernardino 9 (12 Innings)
Jessup struck first with a pair of runs in the top of the third, but the Yotes answered with three in the bottom of the frame. Senior Tereise Tosi (Garden Grove, Calif.) leveled the score with a two-run double to right, before classmate Lindsey Marschall (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) drove her home on a base hit to left center.
Two more Jessup runs in the top of the fourth gave the Warriors a one-run lead, which stood until the bottom of the sixth, when a Mia Escujuri (Chino Hills, Calif.) RBI single knotted the score and forced extra innings.
The teams went toe-to-toe in a wild first four extra frames, with each team scoring twice in the eighth and once each in the ninth, 10th, and 11th innings.Â
Jessup finally sealed the win with four unanswered runs in the top of the 12th inning to secure the win.
For the second game in a row, CSUSB was led offensively by a huge showing from Tosi, who went 4-for-6 with two RBIs and two runs scored, while Marschall and Escujuri each added a pair of hits of their own.

Game 2 - Academy of Art 5, Cal State San Bernardino 0
The Coyotes struggled to get anything going offensively in the second game of the Saturday twinbill, and were blanked for the first time this season.
The contest was scoreless until the top of the fourth inning, when the Urban Knights struck for three runs to take a 3-0 lead. They would go on to score single runs in the fifth and seventh for insurance, but three proved to be more than enough.
The only Coyote with multiple hits was slapper Jonessa Hebreo (San Diego, Calif.), who went 2-for-3. Catcher Madison Zaro (Chino, Calif.) chipped in a double as well.

Next up for the Coyotes, they will wrap up play at the Tournament of Champions on Sunday when they take on Menlo and Dominican at 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
