SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino softball team dropped a rescheduled contest to Stanislaus State by a final score of 6-2 on Sunday in CCAA action at the CSUSB Softball Park.
With the defeat, the Coyotes fall to 25-18 overall on the season and 17-13 in CCAA action.
Stanislaus scored three times in the fourth and three in the sixth to take command of the contest.
CSUSB got its only offense in the bottom of the sixth on the first collegiate home run from freshman
Isabella Venegas (Upland, Calif.). The two-run shot also scored junior
Tereise Tosi (Garden Grove, Calif.), and brought the Yotes to within four at 6-2.
Tosi was the only Coyote to notch multiple hits in the defeat. She went 3-for-4 for CSUSB.
Senior
Natalie Carlos (Garden Grove, Calif.) was credited with the defeat for CSUSB, allowing five earned over six innings pitched for the Coyotes. She struck out three.
Next up, CSUSB will head up north to Cal Poly Humboldt for the final four-game set of the season, starting Friday afternoon with a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
