SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The California State University San Bernardino men's soccer team played #2 Cal State Los Angeles to a 1-1 draw Sunday afternoon in CCAA action at Premier Field.
With the draw, CSUSB moves to 4-2-6 overall on the season, and 2-1-3 in conference play.
Cal State Los Angeles scored their lone goal of the contest to open the scoring in the 36th minute on a marker from Oscar Warne.
Senior Hunter George (Mission Viejo, Calif.) earned a penalty for the Yotes in the 58th minute with a run down the right side, and classmate Brian Castillo (North Hollywood, Calif.) made no mistake from the spot, burying his CCAA-leading 10th goal of the season into the bottom right corner of the net.
LA appeared to score the game-winner in the 86th minute, but the goal was waved off on an offside call, and the game finished level.
Senior goalkeeper Aiden Hanes (Riverside, Calif.) finished the contest with three saves for the Coyotes to earn the draw.
Next up for the Coyotes, they will head on the road to take on Stanislaus State on Friday evening. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
