HAYWARD, Calif. – The CSUSB men's basketball team defeated Cal State East Bay on Saturday afternoon, winning by a comfortable score of 93-69. With the win, the Yotes improve to 17-3 overall with a 12-2 conference record. After a Cal State San Marcos loss to San Francisco State on Saturday, CSUSB now holds a one game lead on the second place Cougars.

The No. 16 ranked Yotes dominated the first half against the Pioneers, outscoring CSUEB 50-19. Despite scoring less in the second half, the Yotes's lead never dropped below 24 points.

Kaijae Yee-Stephens came up big for the Yotes off the bench, scoring a season-high 20 points while shooting 7-for-8 (.875) from the floor and a perfect 4-for-4 beyond the arc. This is the third time the Santa Cruz native has reached the 20-point mark in his CSUSB career, including an impressive 32-point performance against Cal State LA last season. The redshirt senior finishes the week with 33 points, 4 rebounds, and a staggering 12-for-15 (.800) shooting percentage from the field while also going 7-for-9 (.778) from three.

The Yotes' leading scorer,
Brandon Knapper, tied a season-high of eight treys made against CSUEB while putting together a 28-point performance. Knapper ranks third in the conference in points scored this season at 374, while ranking second in points per game at 19.7. Knapper also grabbed nine boards in the game, tying his second-most in a game this season while coming one short of a double-double.

Speaking of double-doubles,
Eddie Davis recorded his fourth of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the game. The Port Salerno, FL native also tallied three assists and a steal.
