SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUSB men's basketball team defeated Cal State Dominguez Hills on Thursday night, earning their sixth 100-point win of the season. With the win, CSUSB remains perfect with a 7-0 record at home while improving to 16-3 overall and 11-2 in conference play.
The Dino Boys showed out in front of a large crowd, scoring 51 points in both the first and second halves to walk away with a 102-point victory.
Dontrell Shuler led the way with an even 20 points in the game, the sixth time he has reached that mark this season. The Columbia, SC native ranks second on the team and fifth in the conference in scoring with 330 points on the season.
Both
Eddie Davis and
Darius Mickens recorded double-doubles against the Toros, combining for 29 points and 22 rebounds. The two are among the top five on the team in multiple categories, including scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, and minutes played this year.
Robby Robinson nearly joined Davis and Mickens with a double-double, recording eight points with 11 rebounds himself.
The nationally-ranked Yotes shot well beyond the arc, making 10-of-22 shots.
Elijah Hardy once again tied a season-high with four treys, improving his three-point percentage to a team-best .537 on the season.
Kaijae Yee-Stephens also shot well from deep, including back-to-back treys late in the game to help the Yotes cross the 100-point threshold.
