SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Yotes last CCAA regular series ended with a doubleheader split with the San Francisco State Gators. Before play began, CSUSB took a moment to recognize their seniors Kelia Peragas,
Kiki Foley,
Veronica Garza, and
Alyssa Beck and the contributions they have made to the Yotes community. The first game CSUSB won 8-6, and coincidentally lost the second game, 8-6. The Yotes are still awaiting their fate for a playoff berth.
In the first game,
Brooklyn Blackmon pitched a complete game for 132 pitches collecting four strikeouts and three earned runs. Blackmon earned the win and boosted her record to 12-5. The biggest hit of the game was by
Tereise Tosi who nailed a homer in the first inning for a two RBI. CSUSB collected 10 hits, seven RBIs, and 21 putouts on the game.
Alyssa Martinez led the Yotes in RBIs as she connected on two hits for three RBIs. CSUSB took game one, 8-6.
Brooklyn Blackmon was lead pitcher for the second game. After pitching a complete game, she went on to collect 97 pitches more pitches in the second game. The biggest hit of the game was by Tosi who hit a single to the right field creating enough time for two runners to cross home plate for a two RBI. Both Tosi and
Kaylee Williamson collected two RBIs on the game. The Yotes couldn't overcome the Gators lead, falling to San Francisco State, 8-6.
The Yotes close the CCAA regular season with an overall record of 21-27, 14-22 CCAA. CSUSB still awaits to hear final word for the CCAA on a potential playoff berth.
