ARCATA – The No. 1 ranked CSUSB Yotes used a monster second half to advance to the CCAA Tournament Championship Game on Friday night with a 94-69 win over No. 5 CSUS Dominguez Hills in the semifinals from Cal Poly Humboldt.
The Yotes turned a one-point halftime lead into a 25-point victory, fueled by 34 points from
Brandon Knapper, including eight threes and nine assists with just one turnover.
Darius Lubom added 20 points and five assists and six boards, and
Daytone Jennings joined them in double figures with 11 points and eight boards. 5 other Yotes scored in support.
CSUSB shot 65 percent from three, including 73 percent in the second half to run away. They also doubled the Toros output in the paint, 22-44.
The Yotes move on to face No. 3 CSU San Marcos for the CCAA Tournament Title on Saturday night at 8 pm. The game is live on the CCAA Network and on the airwaves on KMET 1490.
