SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Yotes hosted Stanislaus State for day two of their series at Fiscalini Field. The first game CSUSB found their rhythm and never gave up their lead the entire day! Two grand slams and two victories for the Yotes who now control the series, 2-1.
In the first game the leading pitcher for the Yotes was
Austyn Coleman who pitched for five innings collecting four strike outs. Biggest hit of the game was by
Daryl Ruiz who hit a grand slam homerun in the eight inning. Ruiz collected five RBI's on the game.
Kyle Csakan connected on two hits for two RBI's.
Riley Parker had two hits, one of which was a double. The Yotes won the first game comfortably, 14-6.
The second game, CSUSB started right where they left off with
Kyle Csakan hitting a grand slam in the very first inning. Csakan collected three hits and an astonishing eight RBI's on the game. The leading pitcher for the Yotes was
Andres Quinones who pitched for four innings collecting three stike outs.
Garrett Macias connected on three hits for four RBI's. The Yotes won the second game, 18-9.
"Great games today. It was great to take two games on Saturday" said coach
Mike Nadeau. "We played well.
Kyle Csakan was a force today with 10 RBI's on the day. Austin Colman gave us a great start to get the win in game one. It was a great team effort in game two. Sticks were hot at the right time!"
CSUSB is scheduled to play their next game on Sunday, March 13
