IRVINE, Calif. – The Yotes faced their last opponent of the Concordia Classic, Academy of Art. CSUSB kept the Urban Knights scoreless in the first six innings. The Yotes had three cross Homeplate as they defeated Academy of Art, 3-1.
Lead pitcher for CSUSB was
Sofia Gombos who collected four strikeouts in the four innings she pitched. Coming in to pitch after was
Natalie Carlos who collected three strikeouts in the two innings she pitched.
Bailey Wallace brought the first runner home in the fourth off of a double that she hit into right field for an RBI.
Hayden Greene connected on two hits and scored a run for the Yotes. This win gives CSUSB a 3-2 overall record to start the 2022 season.
"This weekend was a good indicator to see where we are at as a team" said coach

Bailey Wallace both were phenomenal at the plate and came through for us in big moments. We had a lot of hard fought games that will help prepare us for this next coming weekend."
CSUSB is scheduled to play their next doubleheader against on Saturday, February 12
th starting at 12:00 p.m. in Azusa against Azusa Pacific.
