SAN DIEGO, Calif. – CSUSB traveled to San Diego to complete the four-game series against Point Loma that started at Fiscalini Park. Although, the Yotes were put more runs on the board, the Sea Lions won both games of the doubleheader.
In the first game,
John Pfeffer was lead pitcher for CSUSB and he collected one strike.
Dominic Mota struck out two batters when he was later rotated in as pitcher. Catcher
Garrett Macias was found the target connecting on three hits, bringing in one teammate for an RBI.
Brandon Galindo with three at bats connected for two hits and one double. Point Loma took the lead early in the game and ultimately defeated the Yotes, 12-4.
The last game of the series CSUSB's defense was able to keep the Sea Lions from scoring double digits.
Scott Kato was lead pitcher for the Yotes and he collected four strikeouts in the three innings that he pitched.
Jake Borst collects his second home run of the series at the top of the fourth.

Deshawn Johnson hit a home run. The Yotes saw improvement from game one, but it would not come quick enough as Point Loma took the win, 7-3.
"It was not a good weekend for the Yotes and we have a lot to work on" said coach
Mike Nadeau. "Point Loma is a great team. They can hit and pitch, but we need to be a lot better if we think we are going to compete this spring. The key players of the weekend were Gio Del Negro who hit seven of 13 with a homerun and
Deshawn Johnson went seven of 15 with two triples and one homerun.
Jake Borst added two homeruns on the weekend!"
CSUSB is scheduled to play their next doubleheader on Friday, February 11
