SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Yotes hosted the Point Loma Sea Lions in their first game of 2022 at Fiscalini Park. CSUSB fell short in their doubleheader falling to the Sea Lions, 2-0.
 
In the first game of the day, The Yotes held Point Loma scoreless in the first two innings. Lead pitcher for CSUSB was Raul Salazar who collected four strike outs. Daryl Ruiz connected for two hits in the first game. Leading in RBI's for the Yotes was was Giovanni Del Negro who hit a home run in the 9^th inning bringing home his teammate for two runs. Point Loma downed CSUSB in the first game, 15-2.
 
Lead pitcher for the Yotes in the second game of the day was Andres Quinones who struck out a Sea Lion. Both pitchers Oscar Rauda and Chris Hernandez collected two strike outs on the game. Jake Borst hit a home run brining home his fellow Yote for two RBI's. The Yotes were unable to catch the Sea Lions as Point Loma took their second win of the day, 16-2.
