CHICO, Calif. – The Yotes traveled to Chico to take on the Chico State Wildcats for doubleheader. CSUSB struggled at bat and would fall on day one of the series, now standing 0-2 against the Wildcats.
In game one the lead pitcher for the Yotes was
Sofia Gombos who pitched two innings, collecting one strike out. Coming in next was
Samantha Vargas who pitched four innings, striking out two batters. The biggest play on the game was from Samantha Carlos who singled to center field bringing home a batter for an RBI. The Yotes fell to Chico State, 4-1.
In the last game of the doubleheader, leading pitcher for CSUSB was
Natalie Carlos who pitched for three innings collecting one strike out.
Brooklyn Blackmon pitched the remainder of the game, striking out two batters.
Kelia Paragas hit a fielder's choice, for an RBI in the 7
th inning. The Yotes fell in the second game to Chico State, 3-1.
CSUSB is scheduled to play their next doubleheader on Saturday, February 27
