Four Yotes Receive All-CCAA Recognition

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Four members of the CSUSB men's soccer team received recognition in the CCAA's end of season awards on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Senior midfielder Jeronimo Valdepena was named to the All-CCAA Second Team. Valdepena started in all 17 games the Yotes played this season, totaling 1,262 minutes.
 
Goalkeeper Aiden Hanes was named an honorable mention. The San Diego State transfer started in 14 of the Yotes' games, recording 46 saves while allowing 13 goals – good for a .780 save percentage on the season. The junior also recorded five shutouts.
 
The Yotes' leading scorer Nicklaus Sullivan was also named an honorable mention by the CCAA after scoring four goals with four assists. The Yuma, AZ native started in 16 of the 17 games this season, totaling 1,125 minutes.
 
Closing out the honors for the Yotes is defender Neil Gillies, who was the third CSUSB athlete to receive an honorable mention. Gillies led the Yotes with 1,390 minutes on the field while starting in all 17 games.
