SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Yotes returned to Coussoulis Arena from their winter break to take on the San Francisco State Gators. Going into the game, CSUSB held an overall record of 14-10 over the Gators. The game was tied going into half-time, but the Yotes were able to take the lead and defeat San Franscisco State, 68-59.
Leading all players in scoring was
Destiny Jackson who tallied 19 points, and had five assists and five rebounds. Jackson shot 50% from beyond the arc and 80% on free-throws. Next in scoring for the Yotes was
Mia Dufresne who added 11 points of her own. Dufresne also collected six boards, and three steals.
Another big scorer from CSUSB was
Kaelyn Blackwell who collected 10 points. Blackwell also had five rebounds and one assist. She shot 100% from the free-throw line and 50% in field goals. Leading the offense for the Yotes was
Jaida Jackson who found her teammates for seven baskets, and also had three steals and three rebounds.
CSUSB is scheduled to compete in Arcata against Humboldt State University on January 13
