SAN BERNARDINO - The Yotes played tough defense against the Hilltoppers, keeping them scoreless in the first half. Goalkeeper
Carly Luna kept St. Edwards out of the net with a total of four saves in the first half and a total of six on the game.
Right at the start of the second half the Hilltoppers scored in the 45
th minute. Yotes put pressure on St. Edwards, taking eights shot in the second half. Their defense kept the Hilltoppers to only four shots for the remainder of the game.
Unable to reach the net, Yotes would fall to the Hilltoppers 1-0.
"Today was another learning opportunity for us as a team." said coach
Mark Peters. "Not the result we were hoping for but credit to St. Edwards for doing what they needed to do to get the result. We had some very positive moments in this game so there are certainly things we can build on to prepare for conference play."
