HAYWARD – The No. 12 CSUSB Yotes turned a one-point halftime lead into a 12-point win, 92-80, on the road.
Brandon Knapper led once again with 27 points, going nine-of-18 from the field.
Daytone Jennings added another double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
Darius Lubom added 17 points and
Timmy Falls had 10.
Darius Mickens grabbed seven rebounds. CSUSB shot 48.1 percent from the field and made 10 threes, shooting 47.6 percent.
Threes from Knapper and Lubom fueled an offensive push from the Yotes in the second half and they led by 20 by the 10-minute mark.
The Yotes led on the glass, 36-25, and scored twice as many points in the paint, 44-22. CSUSB finished the 2021 portion of the season, 10-1 and 4-1 in the CCAA, the best start in eight years. They resume on January 2 at 3 pm at Cal Poly Pomona.
