CSUSB had a great finish to the season, winning four of their last five matches. The greatest game of the season was Thursday November 4th on Premier Field. The Yotes took on Cal State San Marcos and their defense in Andres Aguirre, Rigo Aguilar, Tony Di Donato, Juan Larios, and Neil Gillies kept the Cougars scoreless. CSUSB's defense collected six shut-outs on the season.

Leading in goals for the Yotes is Gerardo Flores who tallied nine on the season. Francisco Sierra and Kevin Aguilar both added three goal each. Juan Nieves played in every match this season collecting 49 saves.

In Josh Hill's first season he was able to bring a team together who have not competed in over a year. In the return to athletics, Hill built a foundation of mental toughness and fortitude that led them to a third-place finish.

"We are all excited to be part of the CCAA Tournament and we truly believe it is up for grabs" said coach Josh Hill. "We have to take it one match at a time, but we are optimistic about our team's opportunity to extend the season. Every team we saw this year was good, but we are ready to battle it out and take on the first round this Sunday at noon on the Premier Field."
