SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Yotes took on the University of Antelope Valley Pioneers in their last game before the CCAA season starts. The game would be close to start, but CSUSB would expand their lead in the second half, taking the win, 74-54.
The Yotes finished the game with a field goal percentage of 49.1 percent. At the three-point line CSUSB shot at a 42.1 percentage and went 14 for 24 for free throws. The Yotes scored 32 points in the paint and 17 points off of turnovers.
CSUSB has showed once again their versatility and ability to play as a team as 24 of their points came off of the bench. They would score another 10 points from fast breaks.
Leading for the Yotes in points was,
Destiny Jackson who collected 14 points and had eight rebounds and three assists. Next top scorer for the Yotes was
Tori Guzman who scored 11 points.
Samantha Henley,
Mia Dufresne, and Jada Jackson put up 10 points each.
The Yotes next competition is on Saturday, November 27th, as they open the CCAA season against Cal Poly Pomona at 1 pm in Coussoulis Arena.
