CARSON – The Yotes only trailed 5-2 into the sixth but fell 5-11 at CSU Dominguez Hills on Friday.
Carter Kimberly hit a solo shot in the third and a bases loaded walk in the sixth made it 2-5. CSUSB got three back late with a double from
GJ Hurst and two-RBI homer from
Deshawn Johnson.
Johnson and
Andrew Talkington both had three hits, and Hurst had two as CSUSB (3-8, 0-5 CCAA) had 11 on the day. They were hurt by six errors in the field however that helped the Toros (4-7, 3-2 CCAA).
Christian Vargas,
Paul Sanchez, and Hurst all doubled.
John Pfeffer pitched a perfect final inning for CSUSB.
