SAN BERNARDINO – The CSUSB Coyotes shrugged off a slow start and downed visiting Sonoma State on Thursday night, 58-54.
 
The Yotes (2-15, 2-12 CCAA) trailed by nine after one, but outscored the Seawolves the next three quarters to claim the win.  Kayla Bibb and Ashlynn Sharp each scored 19 with Sharp recording a team-high seven boards.  She added four assists in the all-around effort.
 
The Yotes attacked the basket and made 20-of-27 foul shots to earn the difference.  They forced 18 Seawolf (13-7, 9-6 CCAA) turnovers for 16 points. 
 
The Yotes got within one on multiple occasions in the second quarter, tied the game in the third, and took the lead for good at the 5:33 mark in the fourth quarter on two free throws from Bibb.
 
"The team never gave up the fight tonight," head coach Casandra Renno said.  "I am so proud of everyone's effort and coming together as a team."
