LA JOLLA – The CSUSB Coyotes put together two impressive quarters and put a strong showing at UC San Diego on Saturday night, falling 50-63.
 
The Tritons (13-4, 9-3 CCAA) did their damage in the first and third quarters, but CSUSB (1-14, 1-11 CCAA) outscored them in the second and fourth, just not quite able to make up the full margin.  Kayla Bibb had an impressive night scoring 21 points on seven-of-16 shooting with eight rebounds.  Ashlynn Sharp was all over the floor with nine points and a team-high nine boards. 
 
Neither team shot the ball too well on the night in a defensive battle, led by Tatianna Russell who blocked five shots.  The Yotes led the points in the point battle, 20-18. 
 
The Yotes have just a single game next week, at home on Saturday at 5:30 pm against Cal Poly Pomona as CSUSB celebrates Military Appreciation presented by the US Army and CSUSB Veterans Success Center.  Live links are on CSUSBathletics.com.
