SAN MARCOS – The CSUSB Coyotes got off to a rough start and couldn't recover in their 51-74 road loss at CSU San Marcos on Thursday night.
Tehya Burroughs led CSUSB with 14 points and
Tatianna Russell added 12.
Kayla Bibb had a team-high eight rebounds with nine points, as
Nina Wallace matched her nine points.
The Coyotes (1-13, 1-10 CCAA) fell behind 5-15 after one quarter and trailed by 11 at half. They did not make up ground in the third but outscored the Cougars (13-3, 8-3 CCAA) by four in the final quarter. Their shooting improved as the game progressed, shooting 45 percent in the fourth quarter.
