SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes were within striking distance late, but fell to CSU San Marcos, 4-10.
Gabe Chavez, who is the only player in the CCAA hitting over .400, launched a three-run shot in the fifth to make the score 4-6, but the Cougars tacked on four more in the seventh. Kyle Csakan hit a homer for CSUSB in the fourth.
The Yotes led in hits, 12-11, with Chavez, David Osuna, and Sergio Rey getting two each. Austyn Coleman, Zaine Mendoza, and Oscar Rauda allowed no runs out of the bullpen.
