SONOMA, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes dropped a pair at Sonoma State on Friday afternoon, 2-5 and 2-6.
In game one, the Yotes closed the gap to 2-3 in the third as Morgan Ratliff tripled and Dominique Walker singled to score runs. CSUSB only had five hits as a team though but still left five on base. The hits were spread among five different Yotes.
In game two, the Yotes fell down 6-0 through four innings, but got two back in the fifth on a two-RBI double from Walker. CSUSB struggled at the plate again, with three hits, as Ratliff joined Walker with a double. Claudia Lopez stole a base as CSUSB left seven on base.
CSUSB (20-14, 14-12 CCAA) will look to get two back tomorrow as they face the Seawolves at 11 am for a doubleheader. Live stats are on CSUSBathletics.com.
