TURLOCK, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes lost a pair of tough games on the road on Sunday, 1-2 and 1-4, at Stanislaus State.
In game one, the Yotes trailed 0-2 entering the eighth when Garrett Ouellette singled home a run. The Coyotes could not get the equalizer across, leaving five on base on the game with three hits. Blake Timm (4-3) was excellent on the mound, allowing just two runs over eight innings with four K's.
In game two, CSUSB scored on Gabe Chavez's single through the left side in the fifth, but could not do anymore damage in the inning to erase the Warriors' 3-0 lead. They left seven on base with five hits, two coming from Chavez.
