TURLOCK, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes split in the series opener at Stanislaus State on Saturday afternoon, taking game one 2-0 and falling in game two, 0-4.
In game one, the Yotes rode starter Amanda Ramirez (6-3) who went the distance allowing just three hits in the shutout. Morgan Ratliff doubled home a run in the third and Kianna Abellera singled the second run home in the fourth. The Yotes had seven hits, stranding five runners, as Samantha Vacko also doubled.
In game two, the Warriors scored all their runs in the third and fourth innings, and CSUB had five hits and left four on base, with Ratliff collecting two hits and a double.
