SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes got it within 10 in the third quarter, but eventually fell to second-ranked UC San Diego at home on Saturday, 49-71.

They outscored the undefeated Tritons 20-16 in the third and got it to 35-45 with 2:23 left in the quarter.  Tehya Burroughs led the team with 14 points and Jasmine Sauser added 13.  Kayla Bibb led on the glass with six boards.  The Yotes had 18 points off the bench, led by Burroughs, and made six threes.

The Yotes briefly led, 7-6, at the 6:11 mark of the first quarter.  They trailed 36-19 at half but made the third quarter push.
