SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes could never get over the hump and fell 2-4 to CSU Dominguez Hills on Friday night at Fiscalini Field.
Coyote starter Tyler Williams (1-3) kept them in the game, going seven and a third with 10 K's but giving up three late runs. Andres Quinones shut the door form there. The Yotes trailed 1-0 into the eighth when the Toros broke open with three more. AJ Barraza doubled in the eighth to plate one and a groundout scored another as the Yotes climbed within two.
The Toro pitching staff held CSUSB in check, only allowing five hits. Jason Nall also doubled for CSUSB (5-6, 2-6 CCAA) who host CSUDH again tomorrow night at 6 pm. Live links are available on CSUSBathletics.com.
