SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUDH Toros scored nine runs over three innings and defeated CSUSB on Friday night, 12-9.

The Yotes carried a 4-3 lead into the fifth after Jacob Allen doubled after Carter Kimberly's double as the Yotes scored twice in the fourth.  But heading into the sixth the Yotes trailed 9-4.  They got two back on a double from Gabe Chavez and sac fly from Richard Castro.  The Toros pulled away again before Ivan Ramos hit a two-run homer in the seventh and Jason Nall doubled in the eighth.

Chavez had two doubles on four hits for the Yotes, who out-hit the Toros 14-12 but committed four errors. 

Jackson Gilmore pitched a scoreless final frame for the Yotes (5-9, 2-7 CCAA) who will finish the series at CSU Dominguez Hills on Sunday for an 11 am doubleheader.  Live stats are available on CSUSBathletics.com.
