SAN BERNARDINO – The CSUSB Coyotes hung tight all game and never went away, but faded a bit at the end in a 56-63 loss to No. 16 CSU San Marcos at home on Saturday afternoon.
The Coyotes tied the game on three occasions in the third quarter and grabbed a 50-48 lead in the fourth quarter at the 5:25 mark on two free throws from
Tehya Burroughs. The Cougars finished on a run to claim the win.
Kayla Bibb scored 15 points and added 11 rebounds for the double-double. Burroughs scored 13 and
Nina Wallace had her best game as a Coyote with 10 points off the bench. The Yotes only turned the ball over 10 times and Wallace and Bibb had four assists each.
Tatianna Russell battled foul trouble but still had eight rebounds.
