SAN BERNARDINO – The CSUSB Coyotes were able to make the last push and downed Stanislaus State at home on Thursday, 82-79.
In a game that featured 15 lead changes and a couple double-digit leads for the Yotes, they finished on an 8-4 run for the win.
Jeremy Smith was nine-of-12 from the field and scored 30 points with five assists to lead CSUSB.
Jordan Mitchell and
Richard Laku each added 15 points.
Tyrell Henderson added nine and
Daytone Jennings grabbed seven boards despite battling foul trouble.
The Yotes battled foul trouble all night and ended up making nine threes and getting 16 fastbreak points to score in transition. The Yotes led on the glass, 35-25, and got 20 points off the bench.
They will look to keep it rolling on Saturday in their last game before the break, hosting Cal State San Marcos at 3 pm. Live links are on CSUSBathletics.com.
