SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes won another in exciting fashion on Sunday morning in double overtime against Humboldt State, 3-2.
Vidalia Abarca converted the penalty kick in the 106
th minute for the game winner. It was a back and forth match early with
Kelly Kevershan scoring from
Yvette Ochoa and
Danielle Landrum just 19 minutes in, which was matched by the Jacks one minute later.
Abarca scored her first of the match in the 30
th minute from Kevershan, but a goal from HSU matched that five minutes later. The Yotes had a PK chance a couple minutes before Abarca finally touched the back of the net.
Each team fired seven shots on goal, with
Carly Luna making five saves for the Yotes, with a couple impressive ones late.
