SAN BERNARDINO (April 28, 2018) — CSUSB closed its regular season with a split against Cal State San Marcos, losing 9-0 in the opener and coming back to win 11-3 in the second.

CSUSB, now 28-18 overall and 18-16 CCAA, was awarded the fourth seed in this week's CCAA Tournament as Sunday's rescheduled doubleheader between Sonoma State and Humboldt State was canceled. The Coyotes will face Chico State in the opening round Friday. More details will become available Sunday.
Game 1: Cal State San Marcos 9, Coyotes 0 5 innings
The Cougars scored three runs in the first inning and six in the second and defeated the Coyotes by the eight-run rule.
Dominique Walker led CSUSB with two singles.
Game 2: Coyotes 11, Cal State San Marcos 3 6 innings
Morgan Ratliff went 4-for-4 with two RBI, and
Samantha Vacko and
Taylor Ancona each had a pair of hits as CSUSB led 5-1 through two innings.

Kendra O'Cull came on in relief and threw four shutout innings and improved her record to 11-5.
