Blake Timm performed like a champion Friday afternoon, allowing three runs on seven hits in seven innings as CSUSB defeated Cal State Dominguez Hills 4-3 at Toro Field. The teams complete the weekend series Saturday in a doubleheader at Fiscalini Field (weather permitting). First pitch is 1 p.m.

CSUSB improved to 6-10 overall and 6-4 in the CCAA, while CSUDH dropped to 6-10, 3-7.

Dylan Stablein and
Jake Peloquin were outstanding in their efforts. Stablein threw the eighth inning and struck out two while facing just four batters. Peloquin earned his second save with three fly ball outs.
Going Deep
Senior
Tyler Robles gave the Coyotes a 1-0 lead in the first with a homer on a nine-pitch at-bat. After CSUDH tied the game in the fourth, the Coyotes answered back with runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh inning.
Mando Rodriguez' double scored Robles in the fifth,
Ty Lineberger came through with a one-out single to left that scored
Jacob Allen. And in the seventh, Alec Cineceros ripped a RBI-single to right that scored
Erick Allegro, who hit a one-out triple to right.
