SEASIDE (March 31, 2018) — A seventh-inning rally secured a split for CSUSB against Cal State Monterey Bay, losing 8-0 and winning 6-4 in CCAA softball Saturday.
The records
CSUSB split its four-game series against the Otters, and now sits at 20-12 overall and 11-11 in the CCAA. The Otters are 18-19, 11-12.

Samantha Vacko accounted for the Coyotes' two hits as CSUMB won in five innings.
Earning a split
Trailing 4-2 through six innings, the Coyotes took control with a four-run, five-hit seventh. Senior
Caitlyn Olan's two-run double scored
Taylor Ancona and
Gabriella Bracamonte to tie the game at 4.
Morgan Ratliff followed with a single up the middle, and pinch-runner Maddox scored. After Vacko flied out,
Jessica Brown earned the game-winning run on an RBI-double that brought in Ratliff.

Amanda Ramirez went the distance and improved her record to 13-7. She scattered nine hits and struck out one.
