TURLOCK (March 24, 2018) — Rain forced the cancellation of one game, but  not before the Coyotes' 6-1 victory over Western Washington on Saturday during the Tournament of Champions.
 
The Coyotes and Hawaii Pacific game was cancelled due to rain. CSUSB (16-10 overall) completes the three-day tourney with games against Hawaii-Hilo and Chaminade on Sunday.
 
Senior Jessica Brown led CSUSB with a 2-for-3 effort that included a two-run home run, a double and a sacrifice fly and the Coyotes were never in doubt against the Vikings.
 
Brown connected on her sac fly in the first, and then capped CSUSB's three-run fifth. Her home run was her 10^th of the season.
 
Samantha Vacko also had a two-hit game and Briana Quintana had the other RBI — an infield groundout in the fifth.
 
Freshman Kendra O'Cull got the win with 3.1 innings of relief and raised her record to 6-4.
