SAN BERNARDINO (February 17, 2018) — Kaitlyn Parks led CSUSB with 13 points, and
Jasmine Sauser and
Arianna Knox scored 11 and 10, respectively, in the Coyotes' 53-51 loss to Sonoma State.

CSUSB, which could have clinched a CCAA Tournament berth with a victory, fell to 11-14 overall and 9-12 CCAA. The Coyotes are in eighth place, while Sonoma State is now one-half game behind at 11-13, 8-12.
Back and forth
The game, which featured nine lead changes and six ties, turned in favor of SSU when it went on 10-4 run midway through the fourth quarter. The Coyotes went 10 of 16 from the free throw line in the second half.
Defensive struggles
CSUSB turned the ball over 20 times, and could not overcome SSU's Ugochi Anudokem, who scored a game-high 20 points with 12 rebounds.

CSUSB closes the regular season Saturday night at Cal Poly Pomona.
