SAN FRANCISCO – The game was up for grabs late, but CSUSB fell at San Francisco State 76-80 on Thursday night.

The game was tied at 71 with 1:30 left but SFSU hit a three and finished the game at the line.  Naradain James led CSUSB with 18 points, going six-of-12 from the field.  Garrett Baggett added 16 points, Dante Williams had 13, Justice Green scored 11, and Daytone Jennings had 10. 

Both teams shot above 42 percent but SFSU made 12 threes, as CSUSB still made seven but turned the ball over 22 times for 29 SFSU points.  The Coyotes dominated the glass, 40-26, led by Williams with nine.

CSUSB led early in the first half and a layup from Green put them up 30-23 with 4:05 left in the frame.  SFSU finished on a 16-5 run to lead 39-35 at the half.  The Coyotes trailed through most of the second half but led 62-61 on a free throw from Jennings at the seven-minute mark.  A layup from Jennings put them back up 65-64 and James made it 67-64 with 4:47 to play.  A couple threes and a CSUSB turnover shifted the game to the Golden Gators however.
