SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes closed the gap late but fell to CSULA at home on Thursday night, 66-72. 

Garrett Baggett led the late charge with threes and finished with six of them and 18 points.  Naradain James added 14, but the Coyotes committed 23 turnovers that led to 32 points for CSULA.  The Yotes dominated the glass, 43-26, led by nine from Dante Williams who also scored nine points. 

The Coyotes raced out early and led 11-3 through the first seven minutes, and grew the lead as big as 11, 17-6, midway through the first half.  The Golden Eagles started clawing back though and trailed 34-36 at half.  CSUSB struggled to score early in the second half and fell down by as much as 13 with five minutes left.  Baggett hit two threes and got the game within four, but CSUSB just ran out of time.
