Arianna Knox snapped a pair of three-pointers in the second half and led the Coyotes with nine points in their 61-43 loss to visiting Cal State LA in CCAA play and Faculty Appreciation Night on Thursday at Coussoulis Arena.
The Turning Point
With the game tied at 16-16 midway through the second quarter, the Golden Eagles struck back with a 10-0 run in just under two minutes and never looked back, outscoring the Coyotes 22-10 for the quarter. They took a double-digit lead for good on a Alyssa Fisher free throw to close the first half, 32-22.

Sophomore
Taylor Goldsberry was next in line in scoring with seven points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench.
The records
CSUSB dropped to 6-11 overall and 4-9 in the CCAA. CSULA, led by Rikke Fabricius and Chiderah Uzowuru with 12 points each, improved to 8-11, 7-6.
Single digits
The game marked the first time in four seasons the Coyotes did not have a player score in double figures (Nov. 26, 2013 — 69-41 L vs. Cal Poly Pomona).
What's next?
The Coyotes return to Coussoulis Arena on Saturday night against Cal State Dominguez Hills for their final home game in January. Tipoff is 5:30 p.m.
