DENVER (Sept. 8, 2017) — CSUSB had its three-game unbeaten streak snapped Friday afternoon in the Coyotes' 3-1 loss to Regis in nonconference women's soccer.
 
CSUSB, now 2-1-1, takes on Colorado School of Mines on Sunday afternoon.
 
The difference maker
Regis scored a pair of second-half goals with the go-ahead marker in the 56^th minute. The Rangers added a late goal with 78 seconds left in the game.
 
Goal scorer
Freshman Maria Gallardo scored CSUSB's only goal, coming with just one second left in the first half. It was her first goal of the season. Gabby Evaristo was credited with the assist.
 
Stat sheet
CSUSB was out-shot 14-7 including a 9-4 differential in the second half … Senior Rachael Figg and junior Anna Pinedo had the other SOG for CSUSB … Regis countered with six corner shots to just one for CSUSB … The Coyotes had just one SOG in the first half.

"We played a very good team this afternoon,'' head coach LeBaron Hollimon said. "I thought we matched their effort, but not their quality. We got beat on several one-on-one balls. They were a physical team.''
