RIVERSIDE (August 31, 2017) — Three first-half goals from California Baptist put the Coyotes in an early hole in their 4-0 loss in the season opener for both teams Thursday morning.
CBU's Aidan Apodaca scored his team's first two goals — all inside the opening 26 minutes of play.

Francisco Sierra each had one in the final 45 minutes.
Series history
Thursday's game was the first time the schools have met the 2001 season. CSUSB now leads the series 9-3-0. It very well could be the final time the teams meet on the pitch as CBU is playing in its final season of Division II.
