SAN BERNARDINO (April 8, 2017) —
Jessica Brown homered in each game, but it was her grand slam in the second that gave the Coyotes' their ninth straight win.

CSUSB swept Cal State Dominguez Hills 9-1 and 9-8 and improved to 27-15 overall and 17-11 in the CCAA. The Coyotes look to build a case for postseason play when it takes on Stanislaus State this week, beginning Friday in Turlock.

Game 1: Coyotes 9, CSUDH 1 6 innings
Brown went 2 for 3 with three RBI including a seventh-inning home run as the Coyotes took control from the outset.

CSUSB scored two runs in the first on two hits, thanks to a leadoff double from
Morgan Ratliff and a run-scoring single by
Monica Maddox.

In the second, Brown connected on a two-run double and Maddox also had an RBI.

In the seventh, Brown scorced a leadoff homer over the center-field wall.
Kaylee Gemmell followed with a double and
Taylor Ancona answered with a triple. Two batters later,
Isabel Frias' sac fly to left scored Ancona.

Cassandra Williams struck out five and walked three for the win. She gave up just four hits.

Game 2: Coyotes 9, CSUDH 8
CSUDH came back with a pair of three-run home runs — one by Jade Loe and a seventh-inning blast from Lyzette Reveles.

But Brown came through with her grand slam.  Frias reached on a single, and Ratliff followed with a walk. Maddox reached on a fielder's choice, to set up Brown.

The Rancho Cucamonga junior ripped a 1-2 offering well over the left-field fence for the one-run lead

Williams struck out two in the top of the seventh for her second win on the day and her third in the series.

She improved 16-9.
