CHICO (March 27, 2017) -- The Coyotes scored just one run in 14 innings Monday afternoon as No. 7 Chico State swept the CCAA doubleheader.
CSUSB (18-14 overall, 13-11 CCAA) looks to build its nonconference record when it competes in the Tournament of Champions this week at Stanislaus State, beginning Friday.
Game 1: Chico State 2, Coyotes 1
Haley Gilham hit a two-run home run and on the mound, threw a one-hitter against the Coyotes.

Taylor Ancona broke up the no-hit bid with a single through the left side in the fourth.
The Coyotes drew to within a run in the sixth.
Jessica Brown's ground out to second brought in
Monica Maddox, who reached on an error.
Williams threw six innings, striking out two and allowing five hits. Both runs were earned.
Game 2: Chico State 4, Coyotes 0
The Coyotes left nine runners on base in the shutout loss.
Kaylee Gemmell had two hits. Brown's double in the third inning was CSUSB's only extra-base hit.
Amanda Ramirez struck out one in four innings.
